After 2 overnight hotel stays we embarked Iona on Saturday 29th August for a relaxing 7 nights cruise. We embarked at 11.30am and went to the Pearl restaurant for a top loyalty embarkation buffet and free wine. We had a mid ships deck 11 balcony. The first day was a sea day so we visited the shops on board and explored the ship. Day 3 we arrived in Getxo Spain and got the shuttle into port and saw the oldest working people transporter bridge in the world. Day 4 we arrived in La Corunna Spain and walked off the ship straight into town and went into the many shops. Day 5 we arrived in Vigo and again walked off the ship straight into town and spent a few hours exploring. Day 6 we arrived in Cherbourg France. We walked the 30 minutes into town and explored the shops. We had dinner twice in Sindhu speciality restaurant Twice in the Beach house speciality restaurant. Once in Epicurean speciality restaurant. Once in Olive Grove speciality restaurant. Once in Pearl main dining room. We had a very relaxing cruise with calm seas,great company and wonderful food.
